DRAAG

Revolution Hall

On, May 20th, I had the opportunity to check out DRAAG opening for the band Wednesday at Revolution Hall. I hadn't heard of DRAAG before this show, but now that I have, I can definitely say I was missing out before. I listened to a couple of their top songs on Spotify before the show but I was curious to see how they sounded raw, live and in person.

I was pleasantly surprised. The dreamy vibe of their recorded music transferred effortlessly to their live set. The seamless blend of shoegaze, dream pop, and experimental rock resulted in an exciting sonic landscape. From the haunting melodies to the swirling guitars, every element of their music was delivered with precision and passion.

Their music paired so well with Wednesday, they set the tone for the evening thats for sure. On their own, though, DRAAG holds it down!! What truly set DRAAG apart was their ability to create an immersive atmosphere that seemed to suspend time itself. I was hung up on every song, excited to hear what was next on the setlist.

If you get the chance to see Wednesday on tour right now, I suggest you show up early for DRAAG. They’ve definitely gained a new listener from this reviewer, that’s for sure.
